When the kids come through the door hungry, this smoothie takes five minutes and uses ingredients you probably already have. Blueberries, plain yogurt, milk, and a couple spoonfuls of honey. No packaged snack required, and you know exactly what's in the cup.
We sweeten ours with blueberry raw honey, made by bees that foraged blueberry blossoms. It doubles down on the berry flavor and adds a sweetness that reads as fruit, not sugar. Any raw honey will work with what you have on hand.
YIELD: Makes 1 large or 2 small smoothies
INGREDIENTS
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup milk
2 Tbsp. raw honey (we suggest blueberry)
Ice cubes
DIRECTIONS
Add the blueberries, yogurt, milk, and honey to a blender with a handful of ice cubes. Blend until smooth. If it's thicker than you like, add a splash more milk. Pour and serve right away.
